Electronic Collections
UMD E-ResourcesThe University Library provides access to a number of databases for the use of the University community.
There is no single electronic database devoted to film, but several of the databases available at UMD will prove useful. Remember that the Film Literature Index is available in print in Reference (Indexes PN1993 .F54).
MLA International Bibliography covers many film-related topics, including comparisons of film and literature, studies of international films, and cultural studies and critiques of film. Humanities Index also includes coverage of film-related topics.

These include research guides, full-text electronic archives, and informational pages from various centers and organizations. Many more web sites are certainly available; these are just a few that have proven useful to previous researchers. Be sure to evaluate carefully when you find other web sites through commercial search engines.
